We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our community for coming together during the 2024 Houston Lebanese Festival. Despite the immense challenges we face, your presence was a powerful testament to our resilience and unity. As a Lebanese psychiatrist once said, "Being with people who understand your pain and struggle without having to talk about it, is therapeutic." In these trying times, your solidarity reminds us that we are not alone. Thank you for standing together; your support makes a profound difference!

Thank you

Fadi Dimassi
ALCC President

We used this event as an opportunity to raise funds and direct its proceeds to support humanitarian efforts in Lebanon. In an act of unity and support, the following two organizations have come together with the ALCC to offer immediate assistance: the American Lebanese Medical Association (ALMA) and National Arab American Medical Association - Houston Chapter (NAAMA).

Uniting Community, Building Tomorrow

The 2024 American Lebanese Cultural Center event, aptly named "Uniting Community, Building Tomorrow," aims to bring together the Lebanese community in a vibrant and enjoyable setting while also introducing our rich cultural heritage to non-Lebanese attendees. Since 2015, we have held this annual event to foster connections within our community and to share our traditions with a broader audience. This year, as in recent years, we are proud to support the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) by donating 10% of our net income to their cause. Additionally, we are raising funds to realize our dream of building a dedicated cultural center and museum. Our vision is to create a space where our heritage can be celebrated and preserved, offering future generations a place to connect with and take pride in their roots. Through this event, we aim to strengthen our community bonds and make meaningful contributions to both our local community and kids in need in Lebanon, while continuing our practice of supporting the Houston community, as we have done in the past with the Fort Bend Educational Foundation.

On Sunday, September 29, during our 2024 Houston Lebanese Festival, we took on an exciting challenge to beat the Lebanese Canadians' record for the largest Labneh sandwich, which was 32 meters. With the help of our dedicated volunteers, board members, and trustees of the ALCC, we succeeded in creating a 40-meter Labneh sandwich, surpassing the record! This simple yet flavorful sandwich represents the heart of Lebanese cuisine—humble ingredients with a delicious taste that brings people together. Our accomplishment was made possible through the hard work of our volunteers and the generous support of our ingredient sponsors, Mano and Fadi’s.
